A short novella
The distant future. Humanity has reached deep space and spread across the Galaxy. Many historical facts have been forgotten or distorted beyond recognition. Settlements on some planets often live in complete isolation, occasionally enlivened by visits from trade transports. Traders compete fiercely for the right to a monopoly on trade with specific worlds. Against this backdrop, amusing collisions occur.
Author's notes:
The story was born from a joking phrase that once came up in a conversation with friends. That phrase became the first line of the story. I must say, the world I created seemed amusing enough to me that I'm considering turning this text into, at the very least, a full-length novella.

The Creation
Any creative person wants fame and money. But at the same time, any normal person — even a creative one! — wishes to do good. True, many understand the word "good" differently, but we are talking about "normal" people, after all…
In short: moral duty and responsibility before oneself for noble deeds — how far can they prevail over a person's desire to earn through their art? How can one achieve a reasonable moral balance between these ethical categories? Today, tomorrow, and five hundred years from now… Everyone chooses for themselves.

The central character of the novella is Sergeant Tranas Nou, a professional of the space special forces of the Commonwealth of civilizations genetically identical to humanity (the Commonwealth of the Identical — CI). The CI is waging a large-scale campaign of confrontation against the aliens (non-humanoid civilizations). Sergeant Nou receives an assignment: to train a group of recruits, drawn from various planets, for a secret mission. Among the recruits is a newcomer from Earth who seems hardly suited for space special forces. A man Nou seriously underestimated…
