🏰 Act II. The Medieval European Facet (Chapters 6–9)

15 ml cherry liqueur
10 ml orange juice
Spices: cinnamon, clove, star anise (optional)
Serve in a red‑wine glass, with an orange slice

Snack:
Stewed meat with root vegetables in a pot.
Warm, honest, a little rough — just like that medieval facet.

🌏 Act III. The Asian Facet (Chapters 10–13)
Cocktail «The Southern Passage»

50 ml light rum
30 ml orange juice
15 ml lime juice
10 ml ginger syrup
2–3 mint leaves

Snack:
Vegetable samsa or mini‑samosa with spicy chutney.

🦕 Act IV. The Dinosaur Facet (Chapters 14–17)

(Chapters 1–2: the forest, the OMON helicopter, first blood)
Cocktail «Ural Transit»

50 ml vodka (the strong core, like Lis himself)
20 ml cranberry juice (the sour taste of reality)
5 ml liquid smoke or peated whisky (the smell of kerosene and gunfire)
Ice, served in a highball glass
Garnish: a slightly burnt sprig of pine

Snack:
Garlic croutons with salted lard.
Food for those who weren't expecting guests — but are ready to meet them hard.

🥩 Act II. Sysert and the "Russian Landowner"

20 ml cherry liqueur (the sweet life of the secretary)

Homemade dumplings with vinegar and black pepper.
Rough, hearty, and with a hint of rot — like the new Russia.

🌆 Act III. The City That Isn't There
(Chapters 6–7: Yekaterinburg, apartment hunting, reading newspapers, rooftop reconnaissance)

Simple food for a man trying to find his place in a changing world.

🥃 Act IV. Dinner with Svarog
(Chapters 9–11: meeting the Creator, a conversation about gods and the fate of the world)

60 ml century-old cognac (150 years old, from Svarog's reserves)
10 ml cherry syrup (the sweetness of power)
A dash of Angostura (the bitterness of responsibility)
No ice. Served in a snifter.
Garnish: a dried star — symbol of faded hope

Snack:
Beef tartare with egg yolk and capers.
Raw, pure, and dangerous — like the idea of sole world governance.

🔥 Act V. The Residence and the Breakthrough to the Center
(Chapters 12–16: interrogation, the sphere-bearers' revolt, armour, running through the corridors)

20 ml smoked liqueur (the smell of burnt armour)
15 ml pomegranate juice (a bloody trail)

Garnish: a spoon with a scorched handle

Cherry tomatoes stuffed with hot mustard on skewers.
Small, angry, and explosive — just when you least expect it.

🌍 Act VI. The Unfinished World
(Chapters 17–20: "In", the Clay Gullies, meeting Phil, the pursuit)

20 ml sweet aloe liqueur or green Chartreuse (the colour of de-dae trees)
15 ml lime juice (the sourness of this world)
Salt on the rim (sand from the Clay Gullies)
Served with a slice of cucumber (symbolising the local "air balloons")

Snack:
De-dae berries (can substitute exotic fruit) with mint.
The taste of survival — of a strange world that might still become dear to you.

🛸 Act VII. Round Facets of the Earth
(Chapters 21–22: the finale, losing Phil, a new alliance, a look toward the future)

10 ml honey (a glimmer of hope)
Served in a clear glass
Garnish: powdered sugar on the rim (like the dust of Ural roads)

Snack:
Plain crispbreads with butter and sea salt.
Quiet, humble, but real — like a finale that promises no paradise, but gives meaning.

"The Snowbabes Of Ivdel"

"On the planet Ivdel, everything is mixed together: snow and heat, religion and mockery, traders and 'ublyuds' (bastards). This set is an attempt to capture the taste of that world. The cocktail — cold and ironic. The snack — spicy and full of character. The sauce — like the story itself: complex, burning, and guaranteed to make you smile. Enjoy with caution. And don't break snowbabes without a reason..."

🍸 Cocktail «Snow Baba»
Vodka, blue liqueur, orange juice, ice, a pinch of salt.
Served with crushed ice on top — a "snow cap" — and a tiny snow baba figurine on the rim of the glass.

🍟 Snack «Ublyudy» (The Bastards)
Potato wedges with paprika, garlic, and cayenne pepper.
Crispy, spicy, warming. Simple and reliable — like the pack animals on Ivdel.

🥣 Sauce «Ivdel Sour Cream»
Sour cream, dill, horseradish, mustard, adjika.
Topped with a pinch of spicy Korean-style carrot — a nod to the very carrot that adorns the snow baba herself.
This sauce is Ivdel in a bowl: tenderness, anger, fire, and absurdity.
